Seattle Neighborhood Greenways
Project: Neighborhood Greenways
Partner Since: 2011
Too many people who walk and ride bikes fear getting injured because of unsafe streets. Seattle Neighborhood Greenways aims to be an active partner with the City of Seattle to identify, advocate for, plan, implement, and activate a linked network of safe and healthy streets for people of all ages.
Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a grassroots coalition of neighborhood groups that plan and advocate for safe and comfortable streets for all. They want everyone to be safe and comfortable getting around whether we walk, drive, ride a bike, push a stroller, or move by wheelchair. Through Memorial Walks, Policy Rides, and speaking up during budget hearings, the volunteers’ collective advocacy has directed millions of dollars into safe street infrastructure. More importantly, the volunteers have redirected the conversation throughout Seattle into strong support for streets for people. Your donation will allow the focused advocacy for safer streets to continue.
