PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We are a community organization dedicated to outreach, education and advocacy to protect Seattle’s cooling, climate-mitigating urban trees from the rampant deforestation we’re currently seeing across the city and impacting working neighborhoods hardest.

Our upcoming goals include hosting regular community events to share news and education about Seattle’s trees; producing reports and other original content and data to help educate Seattle residents and lawmakers about the state of our urban forest; and advocating for better, more just tree protections that ensure all residents can benefit from tree equity regardless of neighborhood or income.

Trees are the land-based foundation for ocean ecosystems.
People of all ages love and celebrate trees with Tree Action.
Gathering to stand up for Doug the Fir in Maple Leaf.
