Othello Park Alliance

Othello Park Alliance works to assure that the park is retained, enhanced, and integrated into a vibrant, multicultural, pedestrian friendly center.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Since 2009, Othello Park Alliance has worked in partnership with the City of Seattle to guide, advocate, and inspire improvements to SE Seattle’s Othello Park. With these actions, the park now had better lighting, accessibility, playground structures, plantings, comfort station, and a performance stage.

The popular and family-friendly Othello Park International Festival celebrates and many cultures and interests of SE Seattle. On the second Sunday of August, 12:00pm-6:00pm, our neighbors and friends can enjoy cultural performances from around the world, dance, music, food, art, games & sports, and 60 activity booths. Featured booths include: Let’s Try It learning experiences, Featured Country, Henna, Makery Station, Art Mural, Chess, Children’s Games, and the Petting Zoo. Click here for more about the 2023 event.

It’s a great event to see new and old friends, connect with community, and celebrate Othello Park, all in the most diverse area of Seattle!
