Improving and beautifying this historic neighborhood gathering space and playground for park users of all ages and abilities.
Meridian Playground is a busy urban park occupying much of the six acre historic site of the original Home of the Good Shepherd in Wallingford. Our project will support major rehabilitation of the open grassy areas of the park, updates of the public restroom facilities, additional picnic tables, and educational reources. We hold regular volunteer work parties to remove invasive plants, plant drought-tolerant plants, and care for the historic fruit trees as part of general grounds maintenance.
