Duwamish Valley Tree Canopy

Giving away free trees to residents

Support This Project

Project Description

The Duwamish Valley Tree Canopy Project is aimed at providing trees for residents to plant on their private property to increase the tree canopy in the Duwamish Valley and greater South Seattle. Together, DIRT Corps and the Duwamish Valley Youth Corps manage and host events and work to ensure with neighborhood leaders and others that native trees find their forever homes.

As part of this program, DIRT Corps trainees and Duwamish Valley Youth Corps members are taught urban forestry skills, including tree care, maintenance, and community engagement.

DIRT Corps has the trees, but we need your help to get them where they need to grow! Your donations will carry trees from our nursery to where they will do the most social and ecological good.
