August 2026 Pop-Up Concerts in the Park Recap

And just like that…our second Pop-Up Concerts in the Park series has come to an end! Since the first week of July, community members have joined us for a free outdoor show nearly every Wednesday. At each concert, up-and-coming young artists from The Residency performed opening sets before our main acts took the stage for the evening. What we were up to in August:
Following an incredible performance by The Residency opener Nate Spade, The Darrius Willrich Trio kept the meditative energy alive with some beautiful jazz at Kubota Garden Terrance Overlook on Wednesday, August 12.
Our next stop was at Magnuson Park Amphitheater on Wednesday, August 19, where Lucia Flores-Wiseman put on a beautiful show along with the evening’s opening act, Samweli from The Residency.
Our final Pop-Up Concert in the Park of 2026 took us back to Seward Park Amphitheater, with Cytrus closing out the series for the year with a party on Wednesday, August 26. Opener Maje represented The Residency so well that night!
We’re deeply moved by the support that went into making our second summer of Pop-Up Concerts in the Park a success. Summer in Seattle is unusually busy this year, and hot days and wildfires caused cancellations, delays, and hardships that impacted many in our community. In the face of it all, folks continued to show up to support our lineup of local musicians. We appreciate every one of the hundreds of concertgoers who joined us this summer!
