July Pop-Up Concerts in the Park Recap

In July 2025, we kicked off the last of our 25th Anniversary festivities with our Pop-Up Concerts in the Park series! Hundreds of community members came out to spend summer evenings supporting the talented artists of our city.
In case you missed them, here’s what went down:
On Wednesday, July 9, we had a strong start to our summer concert series with REPOSADO at Seward Park Amphitheater, including an opening set by Crissy P from The Residency!

The following week on Wednesday, July 16, KBred from The Residency opened for El Guanaco’s show at Be’er Sheva Park Cultural Stage! Throughout the evening, he shared the stage with fellow artists Gael Gallegos, King Khazm, father-son duo Czon and Nicco, and DJ Neebor. Their sets ended with dance performances by Fumi, Chris Kaku, Lee, Rigo, and Naj.

Magnuson Park Amphitheater was the place to be on Wednesday, July 23! Rainbow Jackson from The Residency took the stage to perform an opening set before The Whags’ headlining set.

We ended July with a concert at Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park Stage! The show began with opening sets from Uno Bagg and Rose’ Prosecco, both alum of The Residency program. Our headliner Black Stax closed out the first month of Pop-Up Concerts in the Park.
Right across the street, our partner Central District Community Preservation and Development Authority hosted a vendor fair at The McKinney Center for Community & Economic Development parking lot. Concertgoers made their way to and from the parking lot, where Soul Fusion Food’s food truck was also parked.

What a month! Thank you to everyone who came out for our Pop-Up Concerts in the Park over the past few weeks. It’s not too late to join us for a show, as we have three more concerts left in our summer series!
- August 6: Elnah Jordan at Kubota Garden Terrace Overlook
- August 20: The Residency Showcase at Volunteer Park Amphitheater
- August 27: The Jaws of Brooklyn at Waterfront Stage
All concerts will run from 6:30pm-8pm and feature opening sets from The Residency program.
