Join Trees for Neighborhoods, Seattle City Light, and Dirt Corps to learn how to mulch trees to protect them during the summer by increasing water retention and cooling down the soil around the tree roots.
We will also be highlighting some of the amazing native pollinators that ensure our trees bear fruit and have seeds for the summer! Creating pollinator habitat, especially for ground-nesting bees is crucial for happy and healthy trees. Join us to care for this special neighborhood green space! All ages and skill levels are welcome. We’ll provide the tools, gloves, snacks, hot drinks, and water.
