Most of the blackberries have been removed from the extensive Ryan’s Ridge site which parallels the parade grounds road, so the final step in the summer restoration process is to cover all bare ground with wood chips to keeps seedlings from sprouting. There will likely be a few green plants left that should be easy to find; they will need to be cut down and dug up. Other possible tasks include watering and digging up resprouts. But the priority task will be hauling wood chips.
