Mapes Creek Mouth Blackberry Removal

Join us for a restoration work party at Be’er Sheva Park.

The Mapes Creek Mouth Blackberry Removal Project is a habitat restoration initiative focused on eliminating invasive Himalayan blackberry from the shoreline and riparian zone at the mouth of Mapes Creek in Be’er Sheva Park. By removing dense blackberry thickets, the project improves ecological function, supports the recovery of native plant communities, enhances wildlife habitat, and contributes to long‑term stewardship of this important Lake Washington creek corridor. Volunteers and community partners work together to restore a healthier, more resilient natural environment.
