The Evergreen Team

The Evergreen Team is our group of generous recurring donors that give monthly in support of green spaces and public projects.

When you become a recurring donor, you are providing mission critical funding that empowers our work over time. Seattle Parks Foundation and our partners unite community members in the shared purpose to increase enjoyment, accessibility, and equitable access to parks and public spaces. Your monthly support sustains and grows the extraordinarily varied scope of projects we fiscally sponsor, creating an even stronger foundation to continue to preserve, protect, and grow the region’s environmental success.

“Restaurant 2 Garden takes leftover food from nearby places and turns it into rich compost that grows new food right in the neighborhood. It builds healthy soil, supports community gardens, and could even bring food back to local restaurants, a full circle that keeps helping the community again and again! We need more of this, and that’s why I support it!”

“Parks are vital infrastructure and access to nature is essential. Seattle didn’t become the “Emerald City” by accident – a lot of incredible community members have worked and continue to work so hard to open or protect access to public, open, and green places. I support Seattle Parks Foundation because of their powerful and community-centered advocacy, leadership, coalition building, and storytelling. Donors to Seattle Parks Foundation power community organizations, parks projects, events, volunteer groups, grassroots activists, and climate resiliency throughout the region!”

“I love volunteering with A Cleaner Alki because the community is incredibly positive and welcoming. It’s not just a chore, but a choice we make to improve our surroundings. Our activities range from pulling invasive ivy and blackberries to cleaning drains, trimming walkways, and picking up trash around our city. As Bill Nye wisely said, ‘To leave the world a better place than you found it, sometimes you have to pick up other people’s trash.’”

“Seattle is a busy urban city, so it is a gift to have the jewel that is Volunteer Park near us. My husband Cal and I and our dog Bunk love taking regular walks through the park. We appreciate how it is maintained and delight in the park’s seasonal changes. We enjoy seeing concerts in the summer, and snow on the Black Sun sculpture in winter. But our favorite time at VP is in early spring when the west slopes are spilling over with beautiful blooming daffodils! ’”

“I am grateful to SPF for its ever-deepening support for parks volunteers in every corner of the City, including Southeast Seattle’s Friends of Seward Park and Detective Cookie Chess Park, and Be’er Sheva Park’s Rainier Beach Link2Lake Open Space Steering Committee.”

“I feel very connected to the space and am so thrilled to have Friends of Lincoln Park as a partner so I can support them beyond volunteering in person when I can!”
