Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds are similar to charitable savings accounts, offering the flexibility to make gifts now or in the future to nonprofits like Seattle Parks Foundation.

If you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), you can recommend grants to Seattle Parks Foundation or to one of our many community partner groups.  All grants to Seattle Parks Foundation support people powered parks and public spaces.

Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3 with the DAF Direct tool

Select the name of your DAF sponsoring organization from the drop-down list.

The DAF Direct application currently supports three sponsoring organizations: Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and the BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund. If you have a DAF through another organization and would like to make a contribution to Seattle Parks Foundation, please contact us.

In the Designation field, specify Seattle Parks Foundation or one of our community partner groups.

Specify the grant amount
and click Next.

Interested in setting up a Donor Advised Fund?

Contact your local community foundation or financial institution to find out if they offer DAFs.

Open a DAF with a written agreement. Most DAFs require a minimum gift to open your fund, at which time you will be eligible for a Federal income tax charitable deduction.

Turn your DAF into a lasting legacy by naming Seattle Parks Foundation as a full or partial beneficiary.
