Denny Awards 2024

Seattle Parks Foundation was proud to support Seattle Parks and Recreation’s 18th annual Denny Awards at the Seattle Asian Art Museum on January 10, 2024.
The Denny Awards were created in 2003 to honor the valuable work done by the individuals and organizations that volunteer for Seattle Parks and Recreation. It recognizes those who have committed time, energy and resources to helping create a better parks system – whether that means pulling ivy in the rain, lending a hand to our most vulnerable community members or supporting kids playing sports.
Seattle Parks and Recreation volunteers steward our parks, teach our children, create and preserve open space for future generations while creating a sense of community, and so much more.

Seattle Parks Foundation was part of the planning committee for the Awards and hosted a table at the event. Our President and CEO Rebecca Bear joined Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation AP Diaz on stage to congratulate and deliver checks to all the winners. These checks represented a direct contribution to their work from Seattle Parks Foundation, given in sincere appreciation for all the volunteers have done for Seattle.
Congratulations to this year’s Denny Award recipients and all who volunteer their time, talent, and treasure in our community!
