Amazon’s Community Support: From Restoration Projects to Pop-Up Concerts

Our free Pop-Up Concerts in the Park series kicks off tomorrow, with an incredible lineup of local musicians performing for free in parks and public spaces throughout Seattle on Wednesdays in July and August from 6:30pm to 8pm. And there’s no need to worry about missing dinner; food trucks will be on site at each show if you need to grab a bite!
We’re so excited to start things off with REPOSADO at Seward Park Amphitheater on July 9 – come early and avoid the food truck lines so you don’t miss an opening set by The Residency!
With seven shows on the horizon, we’re taking a moment to share our gratitude to everyone who helped us create these events for the community: our donors, Seattle Parks & Recreation, our staff and board, our community partners and, of course, our generous sponsors.
We wouldn’t have a Pop-Up Concerts in the Park series without our sponsors. Amazon has been a loyal partner to Seattle Parks Foundation since 2007 and has made over 50 contributions in support of parks and public spaces. We’re so grateful for their support of these concerts, the finale of our 25th anniversary year!
Recently, hundreds of Amazon employees participated in restoration parties at several different parks, trails, and other green spaces throughout Seattle. During their Global Month of Volunteering, they laid mulch, cleared weeds and invasive species, picked up trash, and beautified the parks in our city.

Restoration sites included:
Denny Park
Bell Street Park
Urban Triangle Park
Lake Union Park
Cascade Park & Playfields
Cheasty Trails & Bike Park
“Amazon volunteers make a tremendous impact on our public spaces by helping maintain these valuable community resources,” said Rebecca Bear, president and CEO of Seattle Parks Foundation. “Their hands-on work ensures our parks remain welcoming places where neighbors can gather and children can play. These volunteer efforts demonstrate how companies and employees can meaningfully contribute to the communities where they live and work.”
We so appreciate Amazon’s commitment to making a difference in their communities! And we are thankful for their sponsorship of our entire Pop-Up Concerts in the Park series.
