Friends of Denny Blaine Park

Stewarding the park's on-going legacy of nudist and LGBT community use, while caring for the land for future generations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Friends of Denny Blaine is a group of friends and activists that organized to protect the park and its users after an anonymous donor attempted in 2023 to drive out nudist and LGBT users by installing a poorly-designed children’s playground.

We work to ensure democratic access to public land, protect the rights of nudist and LGBT park users, and improve infrastructure. Current project include enshrining legal protection to public nudity at Denny Blaine, developing a community code of conduct, planting native plants, improving ADA access, and increasing parking.
