Shava Lawson

Director of Fiscal Sponsorship

Shava (she/her) joined Seattle Parks Foundation in 2012 to oversee the financial operations of the Foundation and has since moved into the role of Director of Fiscal Sponsorship. She has been instrumental in building out the Foundation’s fiscal sponsorship program, working alongside grassroots leaders and partners to lower barriers and help community-driven projects thrive. With 25 years of experience in finance with small businesses and nonprofits, she combines technical expertise with deep relationship-building rooted in trust and collaboration. Born and raised in the PNW and a Beacon Hill resident for over 25 years, she is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in art and metals design. When not working, Shava enjoys hiking, biking, and exploring our region’s natural green spaces.
