There will likely be a few green plants left that should be easy to find; they will need to be cut down and dug up. Other possible tasks include watering and digging up resprouts. This ivy acts like a sail on the tree making it more likely to fall during a wind storm. The ivy growing vertically also stimulates it to make seeds\, which spreads more ivy.
