Seattle Parks Foundation is Seeking Finance and Investment Leaders with a Passion for Parks to join our Board of Directors!

 

Our mission is to brings community leaders, donors, and public partners together to create a thriving, accessible and connected system of public space for the health and happiness of all people.

 

We currently have an opening for a Board Member with deep experience and high financial acumen to join our Board of Directors and Finance, Investment and Audit Committees.

 

Position Description:

The Board of Directors of Seattle Parks Foundation is collectively responsible for the governance and mission-based leadership of the organization, which includes fiduciary oversight, strategic planning, and generative thinking. Individual Board member responsibilities and expectations are outlined below.

 

The Foundation is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive organizational culture and a diverse board and staff that reflects the broader community and seeks to increase equity and reduce disparities through our work. Because of this, it also expects Board members to understand and support Seattle Parks Foundation’s Racial Equity commitment and be willing to engage in complex conversations with humility, self-awareness, accountability, and a learning mindset.

Time Commitment

Seattle Parks Foundation’s Board meets the first Wednesday of September, November, January, March, May and June from noon-1:30p.m. Additional committee work occurs in between board meetings.
