Come engage with Makah Hishka Wolf Society and whale coming-out celebration ceremony.
Created and led by Heritage Custodian Micah McCarty, Makah, you will witness a little seen Coastal Peoples tradition. Songs, dances, teachings, stories and cultural demonstrations are part. Opening Land Acknowledgement by Jeffrey Thomas, Muckleshoot, Warm Springs, and Welcome song by John Halliday, Muckleshoot, Warm Springs, Yakama, alongside others like Swil Kanim, Lummi violist, Chyokten, Saanich storyteller, flutist will be present.
