Neighborhood Parks Seattle Parks Foundation works to improve and expand parks and green spaces throughout Seattle's diverse neighborhoods. Since 2001 the Parks Foundation has completed 26 projects with a focus on underserved neighborhoods. Our goal is that each resident of Seattle will have a park within walking distance of their home.

Bailey Gatzert Children's Play Area

Play Areas Schools and playgrounds offer an opportunity to provide neighborhood green space where little currently exists. Working with local schools and Parks and Recreation, the Parks Foundation improves play areas as a recreational resource for the entire community.
