Uptown Triangle
The Uptown Triangle is the area bounded by Denny Way, Broad Street, and Aurora Avenue. It is a critical link between Elliott Bay, Myrtle Edwards Park, Seattle Center, and South Lake Union, and is where significant segments of the future Lake to Bay Loop will be located. Because there has been no City adopted neighborhood plan for the Uptown Triangle, community members initiated the Uptown Triangle planning effort to develop a land use plan for the growing neighborhood.
The plan will address land use, transportation details, open space, public amenities, and other issues by seeking out and recording stakeholder input on these inputs. This project will benefit the public by encouraging thoughtful and livable development in this area and has ramifications for future open space and trail development. Seattle Parks Foundation is serving as the project’s fiscal sponsor.
