Thyme Patch Park

Neighbors in the Ballard area of Seattle identified this vacant lot in the neighborhood as a potential community garden site. The citizens worked with the City to purchase the lot with King County funding.

Following acquisition of the property, Groundswell Northwest worked with Seattle Parks Foundation, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seattle Department of Neighborhoods to raise funds, design, and develop the site. Seattle Parks Foundation facilitated funding from the Miller Foundation for the formal landscaped entryway.
