The Legacy Parks program facilitates the creation of brand new parks and green spaces through the generosity of significant contributions by individuals wishing to leave a legacy to the community. To date, Seattle Parks Foundation has received four legacy donations: donations of land or funds to purchase or develop land that make brand new parks possible.

Donation of $1.3 million purchases the land and development of Homer Harris Park in the Central Area.
Gift of land in Rainier Valley helps create Lake People Park, a neighborhood viewpoint, native plant restoration, and green connection between North Beacon Hill and the Rainier Avenue.
Donation of $100,000 provides for complete development of Lakewood Triangle Park in Mt. Baker.
Seattle Parks Foundation received a gift of $225,000 towards developing the new Counterbalance Park on lower Queen Anne.
