Lake Union Park

Location: 860 Terry Avenue North

Seattle Parks Foundation has completed its $20 million capital campaign to develop 12 acres of green space in the heart of the city into a magnificent waterfront park. Identified over 100 years ago by the Olmsted firm as ideal for an urban waterfront park, the property was acquired over the past 20 years by the City. Today, neighborhood residents, businesses, and visitors from all over the region are enjoying the first 1.6 acres including the great lawn, waterfront steps, and pedestrian bridge. When completed in 2010, Lake Union Park will provide our growing city with water and green space access, connect Seattle's neighborhoods, and celebrate the cultural, industrial, and maritime heritage of the city and the region.
