Denny Park Playground
Location: 100 Dexter Ave NDenny Park is Seattle's first public park and is located in the center of the growing urban village of South Lake Union. Thanks to Friends of Denny Park, a local community group, the park was recently reimagined and rehabilitated. Seattle Parks Foundation was a fiscal sponsor to FODP throughout this wonderful project.
Friends of Denny Park, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Parks Foundation, and the Berger Partnership improved this neighborhood park in four phases:
Phase 1 - play area and park lighting
Phase 2 - central water feature and gathering space
Phase 3 - walkways, entrances, and furnishings
Phase 4 - history element, irrigation, and planting
Phase 5 - labyrinth
