The Stimson Bullitt Giving Circle
Planned Giving with Seattle Parks Foundation
In 2002 Seattle Parks Foundation learned firsthand how an inspired and generous individual can help shape our city. It was then that Stim Bullitt made a gift to create a park in honor of an outstanding citizen, Dr. Homer Harris. This gift, which created a brand new, half-acre park in the heart of Seattle’s Central Area, was the start of an enduring relationship. Seattle Parks Foundation is deeply honored that this relationship, which created many friendships and added so much to Seattle’s parks and green spaces, continues even after Stim’s passing in 2009.

Stim, in his will, chose the Parks Foundation as one of his two beneficiary organizations. This bequest to Seattle Parks Foundation has now been memorialized with the creation of the Stimson Bullitt Giving Circle. A lifelong Seattle resident and a visionary leader, Stimson Bullitt, left many lasting legacies in our community including Harbor Steps, a prelude to our future waterfront. He also conceived Squak Mountain State Park. His generosity touched many. The Stimson Bullitt Giving Circle offers an opportunity for anyone to leave a lasting legacy to Seattle’s parks and green space with Seattle Parks Foundation. |
