Advocacy
Seattle Parks Foundation is committed to improving, expanding, and creating parks, trails and green spaces across Seattle. One of our strongest tools in doing this is advocacy. We work with groups and individuals across the city to advocate for parks and green spaces in a variety of ways. We have worked on issues ranging from the 2008 Parks for All Levy to our current work advocating for full implementation of the Cheshiahud Loop, funding for development of the Lake to Bay Loop, and for the creation of green space on the Central Waterfront. Visit this page regularly to learn more about our advocacy efforts and current campaigns.

This is an important call to action - Seattle Parks Foundation project, the Lake to Bay Loop, needs your support!
Dear Seattle Parks Supporter,
Voice your support for the Lake to Bay Loop.
WALK BIKE RIDE Community Meetings
Come to the City meetings on WALK BIKE RIDE and share how important the Lake to Bay Loop is for creating direly needed safe pedestrian and bicycle access in one of the fastest growing areas of our city. By including the Lake to Bay Loop in the City's 2011 budget, we create an essential and long needed connection between important cultural, civic and recreational attractions (Sculpture Park, waterfront, Seattle Center, EMP, trolley line, Lake Union Park, Cheshiahud Loop, neighborhood services).
This is a great opportunity to raise City awareness of our project! If the Mayor hears enough support for Lake to Bay, it may be included in the 2011 city budget as part of the Walk Bike Ride initiative.
