Sometimes the easiest way to find volunteers is just to post a flyer in the park where you're planning on hosting the event. Other times, it helps to use a resources like one of the following:
- Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation Volunteer Calendar: Anybody can sign up to host a work party on the Parks Department website. Volunteers can then look through the calendar and sign up for your work party. What could be easier?
- United Way of King County also has a volunteer calendar where organizations can register work parties for individual volunteers to sign up.
- Show up to a Community Council meeting or post to your local blog: This can often be a great way to find neighborhood activists in your community. If you don't know when or where your neighborhood council might meet or what your neighborhood blog might be, here are some resources that might steer you in the right direction:
- Contact a local service organization: There are many organizations and associations which are constantly on the look-out for community service. Some resources to find them are below:
