Advocate for Parks, Trails and Green Space
Our parks system's greatest advocates are its users. By showing up at meetings to voice your opinion on parks and joining in the conversation about parks policies and funding issues you can demonstrate the importance of green space to our civic leadership. Our advocacy page is regularly updated with events and opportunities to be a part of this process.
Volunteer for a Work Party
One of the simplest and most rewarding ways to spend some time improving a Seattle park is by going out into the park and getting your hands dirty. We've compiled a list here of resources to help volunteers connect with work parties maintaining green space all around the city. The Seattle Parks & Recreation volunteer page is also a great place to start.
Start a Project in your Neighborhood
There are many resources out there to help dedicated volunteers interested in taking on a project to beautify your neighborhood.
